This miata datsun pick-up crossbread
« on: August 25, 2013, 09:13:56 PM »
Is insane! The amount of work put into this truck is impressive and it regularly spanks porsches, corvettes and BMWs around tracks. The guy that built it did all the fab work himself and drives it in all the events. Plus besides a few subtle aero mods the truck is pretty much stock on the outside. It doesn't have much power but it is still a track weapon.

It isn't really a lowered pick up anymore. kind of like a miata in disguise more or less. Has the suspension brakes steering and engine of a miata, with a datsun pickup on top.

Race Truck...lowering it makes sense...its not a bunch of "slammed" bullshit with a hacked up bed and air compressors and Whigger 16attry...

You called Luos's truck rice when he lowered it, I know he doesn't "race" it like that though.

If I did it was in jest, there is a huge difference in lowering an SUV/Truck to help with handling and slamming the shit out of it to be "cool". I don't see a problem with lowering if its to increase performance...when its done pointlessly as a purely aesthetic mod is when I think its rice and stupid.

Well, with the changes in suspension, brakes, etc. it would be useless as a truck, and since it's a track vehicle, lowering it is the only thing you can do with it.  Raising it would make it worse than useless.
