[Beer] Mendocino Talon Double IPA
« on: July 27, 2013, 08:51:55 PM »
Went on a super-hopped IPA binge today. I picked up this one at the notion of my cashier at the liquor store, who recommended it to me.

I've never heard of this brewery, and my local beer room just recently started carrying them.  Talon is a nice little IPA worth trying. Color is amber with a buttload of thick head. It smells like mild citrus with a hint of something woodsy.

For being a double IPA, it has a very strong malty's the smoothest double IPA I've had in a while. It doesn't have that hard bite like Stone or Dogfish Head variants do. It's easy to drink but leaves you with an a hoppy aftertaste with a hint of lemon. Quite nice.

Lexa's impressed by this one! Hold the phones!
