How many miles on a set of Blizzaks?
« on: August 31, 2012, 10:12:20 AM »
Picking up a very lightly used set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires this weekend. Anyone have an idea of how many miles these tires typically last?

From what I understand, those tires will usually last roughly until the time they're no good anymore, at which point they'll need to be replaced.

So yeah you should be able to drive on them until they need to be replaced.

Sure it was. I interpreted it as he was talking about tires like the BFG AT. The tire/structure will be shot before the tread depth indicates a worn out tire. Keep an eye out for dry rot any other abnomalies.

My question was in regards to mileage, not tread depth.

I understand that snow tires become basically an all-season after the tread depth reaches a certain point.

I had a set of winter force on my Honda that had about 40k on them when I sold it, still had ok performance in the wet not sure bout snow.I would think they are comparable to blizzaks with it being a softer compound.
