last time i was at the track there was a guy running around the same time with the same junkyard turbo 5.3L. He said he had under $800 into the whole setup (engine, turbo, IC...).

Funniest part of that thread is the guy who says something about it being "325% more original".  No, the Turbo Turd was the original Fairmont/junkyard SBC/turbo/budget everything else.  This one is just a pretender...:mrgreen:

I wish I could find a 5.3 for that cheap.  :lol: People around here want 500 for ragged out 350s
