Yikes. Reminds me of ten years ago. Glad I got my replacement drives a few months ago.

Been like this for a couple weeks now. Should be back down by the end of the year.

On the flipside, RAM prices are incredible right now.

I am glad that I have 2 spare Samsung drives that haven't even taken out of the box. (I just hope they aren't DOA)

Keep an eye out for external hard drives. Some are staying cheap, and they are just a SATA 3.5" drive in an enclosure. YOu can pry the enclosure apart and use the drive an a normal computer.

You take the drive out of the enclosure and put it in your computer case. Western Digital uses "Caviar Blue" series drives in their externals for the most part. They're not terribly fast, but good enough for media storage.

Glad I picked up a 1TB drive a year or so ago. As long as it doesn't get fried or something like that, I'm gonna be good to go for a while.

I've purchased 2.5TB worth of drives this year. I have about 30% of that space left. My 500GB movie drive that I purchased in September only has 30GB free.

Follow what AH said. Just make sure it's a 3.5" external and not 2.5". 2.5" is for laptops if you're taking it out of the enclosure.
