In 1963, Mopar offered a motor, by special order, called a 426 RB Wedge. The predecessor to the infamous 426 Hemi, this "race only" motor could be thrown in any B-body Dodge or Plymouth (Polara, 330, 440, Savoy, Fury, Belvedere). Boasting a rating of 425hp and 480lb-ft, lightweight stockers would run 12's.
