4.4GHz stable right now at 1.35vcore using the Coolermaster Hyper 212 with OCZ Freeze. Temps peak around 57*C in a room with 80*F ambient.

Going to try loosening RAM timings and try again. Very impressed with this cooler as well. Doesn't look as nice as my old Zerotherm Nirvana but seems to be slightly more efficient.

Couldn't keep it stable at 4.4 or 4.5 under stress testing. Seems to be doing well at 4.3Ghz (43x multi) using auto voltages .

Prime stable using 43x multi, "Extreme" memory setting, 1.3vcore.  RAM timing left to automatic, system voltages on automatic aside from vcore. Peak temp during testing is 62*C.

I'm a happy camper, though I will probably play around a bit more at some point with voltages and RAM timings to see if I can get any more out of the chip. I think my downfall may be my RAM. It's mismatched -- 2x4GB sticks and 2x2GB sticks.

I would definitely pull the 2x2gb out of there.

Nice. I am still waiting to see what happens with the new AMD chips. I have everything else. Just need the motherboard/memory/cpu. Looking forward to the Completely new system (wife will use the old one).

So how are you liking the 2500K?  How does it do with folding? I have my 6870 folding now, But throwing in A set of CPU cores would be nice as well.

I do folding with my i5. Not sure how to track stats on it though other than my current total.

The 2500k is fantastic so far. As I mentioned before, it stays very cool and was very easy to overclock.  Haven't tried foldingyet.

Finally tried this tonight. Runs solid at 4.4GHz , idles around 38-39*C with CPU-Z showing 1.336vcore. Haven't stress tested yet, but it edited photos just fine for an hour or so.

Been running at 4.4 for the last month. According to CoreTemp, I idle around 33*C, and peak around 55*C. I truly love this setup --- very fast and doesn't produce much heat.

Future plans?  SSD for the OS/Photoshop/Lightroom and a better video card. I'm hanging onto my 4870 until it dies though as it can still play new games at the highest levels (or close to it).
