I'll probably get the special edition if they have one since I got the special Forza 3 and the extra shit that came with it was for the most part worth the extra money

If they're even close, Forza will still be the better game. Polyphony really dropped the ball with GT5 - it's a really well done game, but there is so much that was either half-assed (how is a car like the Veyron NOT a premium car?), or completely misused (The Top Gear Track and the choice of cars they allow you to race on it with, not even giving you a time trial for it).

Huge let down IMO.

Forza 4 looks to be trying to give racing fans what they want, and as long as the gameplay holds up I think it will easily dethrone GT5.

I was VERY disillusioned with GT5.  I have played it maybe 5 hours total and stopped, and I pre-ordered it!  I'm going to have to go back and install all the updates and see if it's worth it on the 12th.

Unfortunately, I think the part in that article saying every track was going to have day-night cycles and weather is a lie.

Which sucks because I would love that.

GTPlanet doesn't say anything about it, anyway. They're adding more complex weather controls, but nothing about giving weather to more tracks. Even more, the example image shows High Speed Ring, which wasn't a day-night track, and the time setting is locked.

I actually bought th GT5 PS3 bundle when i went to get a PS3. Maybe i just played forza too much, but i just couldnt get into GT5. LOVED gt4, but i dunno, just couldnt get into the new one. Maybe its the fact some of the premium cars....dont need to be premium. I might have to pick up a used 360 for Forza 4 now.

Why the fuck do they never put the regular RX-8 in the game?  They always use the stupid Mazdaspeed version. 

The car list is nearly the EXACT same as Forza 3 except for a few new models and muscle cars.  Stupid.  They just lost me again...

EDIT:  The game promotes "Hundreds of track configurations."  As in multiple hundreds, or 200+.  Promise not kept.
