honda rattle
« on: July 13, 2011, 03:57:32 AM »
2000 accord 4cyl
Comes from under the car, up front but not as far as the engine. always around 2000RPM. Im thinking its just a loose heat shield on a cat, but if anybody's had that problem before I'd like to hear from ya. :)

Could be similar to my '89 Prelude. The downpipe is double-walled and eventually breaks loose internally. Causes a rattle around 1800-2000 rpm.

Sorry to dredge up this thread, I know Im a horrible person and that you all already hate me. Anyway, my Honda had the same thing. The manifold and the cat heat shields had come loose and were rattling against the pipes. Hopefully youve found the reason already but I just thought I would shout it out
