Goodnight Moon.

Holy fucking shit.

Haha that was a awesome old book. I stopped reading kids books early on so I can just barely remember them.. I liked the Berenstain Bears a lot, I had no idea there was a cartoon based off of them until I was much older

Not really kids books, but I read a lot of the Hardy Boys books as a kid.. My dad kept all of his from when he was younger. I added to the collection and we eventually had the first hundred or so. The darker nature of the Case Files books had a pretty big impact on me.

...Favorite book though

Mike Mulligan and his steam shovel

and

Katy and the Big Snow

Freaky

i was gonna say the exact same two.
I have Katie and the Big Snow.
I think my step son brought home the other one from school to read; don't think i have it.  ...i should get it if i don't.

I have this one too

Jim
That one made me laugh out loud when it was read to us in 4th grade.  3rd or 4th
the vision of the cat trying to drive an uncooked steak into the heart of the sleeping bunny; pounding it with his fist is something i'll never forget.  it's still funny

Freight Train.  I make sure to give it to all my friend's kids when they turn 2 or 3.
