PSU Question
« on: June 10, 2011, 12:29:25 AM »
Ok. so building yet another computer. Looking at a decent Power supply Unit in the 950-1000watt range (Reason behind is I will be going SLI, and will be using 8 HDD, and 1 DVD Drive, which will all be connected to a new Bulldozer 8 core with 8GB of DDR3 2000  give or take memory. Going to be a bit of a beasty.

Anyhow. has anyone heard of this PSU?

PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W

And how well would you think it would be able to power such a system?

With up to 83.4 amps on the 12v rail, I would imagine that I would not have to worry to terribly much. Figured i would get other opinions though.  Seems that a review I found said good things for the most part.

The other positive so far is that there is a rebate on newegg for it

Which drops the price to ~$125.00.

And just in case anyone is curious on what case this will all be going into. here is the ;link for that.

PCPC products are stellar and their PSUs are widely known as some of the best in the industry. I wouldn't have any hesitations.
