I think it's just too much money for what it is.  You can get a Charger with the same engine, two more doors (and I think better looking with the current generation) for less money...

Not to mention that the challenger is bloated compared to the other two pony cars.  The other two aren't lightweights (no car is these days) but the Challenger is heavier than the other two.  So it's HP advantage is nixed.

Says the man with the lifted Jeep
So....all performance mods are now wannabe dick extensions? If I drove a mall crawler like home dude's Durango or if I had a lifted IFS chick Jeep then that statement would be true, I have a purpose built crawler brah.

No it wouldn't ::)  IFS doesn't mean it can't offroad.  You were fine until that statement.  You basically just said "every vehicle but mine and those like it."

The Challenger can also seat an a fifth person, so its better for a family.  Perhaps it also has more luxury options?

Then that changes what it is.  It was intended to compete with the Mustang and Camaro.  It isn't doing that.

Four words about the turbo small-displacement V8 Vette:

Not going to happen.

As far as mid-engine?  Technically already mid-engined.  I don't see GM doing the cut-work needed to put the engine behind the driver.  Buyers like to put their golf clubs in the truck.

I didn't reference you by name, why so defensive Jeepbro? I heard there were lift kits being made for the Compass...fucking lame...Wicho was implying my Jeep was a cock extension, which it's not because it's not a mall crawler like a lifted Dakota or a jacked up blinged IFS GC...

Perhaps I took it wrong, but Logik has the lifted Durango and I'm the only one on the board with a "lifted IFS Chick Jeep," so...

Wanna make up and mouth hug Jeepbro? Logik's thing is a ricey brodozer mall crawler though, but I'm sure you wouldn't have messed with your Liberty if you didn't intend to beat on it a little, and I'm still mad jelly of your engine :(

a V8 instead of a V6 is not a penis extension anymore than your jeep. If you really want to make that stupid of a argument than everyone should have 4 cylinders, because F1 engines will be getting quite a bit of power out of them.

Different cars have different engine setups. Someone can like a V8, just like you like your lifted jeep which I'm sure you still drive down roads and people look at you and think... "what a fucking cunt".

I was talking about the hurrr it has to be a V8 crowd, I would take a 300hp V6 in a sports car, because all that really matters is the performance, not the engine size. Just having a V8 to say you have a V8 is retarded, no matter how good V8s sound. Case in point, the GM 305....I would take my fucking I6 over that thing any day

How much room for modifications do the V6's have compared to the V8?
Formerly DoD.

Want to bet that the V8 will make more power and out perform that V6?

305's can make some pretty big power if you have a deep wallet. Like the 305 Sprint cars.. and also new vs. old isn't quite that fair of a comparison.

Anything you can do to a smaller engine, you can do to a larger one as well. At a certain point they can become too big and trail off, but a V8 isn't over that boundary.

Really?  You want to compare the new GM V6 to an engine that hasn't been used since 2003 in trucks, and 1992 in cars?  Ok, sure, why not.  Let's also compare how cars protect their occupants better than cars did 20 years ago.

Just saying if technology progresses to a point where smaller engines are more efficient that's no reason to be butthurt.

You're logic is flawed.  That same technology goes on V8s as well.  There is also some technology that doesn't fit on 4 cylinders or even V6s that does on V8s.  Such as the cylinder deactivation technology.  Good luck cruising around, even on a highway, on 2 or 3 cylinders.

Your grammar is flawed. :D

I can see more engines using stop-start technologies at red lights though; even on traditional ICE setups.
