Those cams, are way to big, for the small turbo, that you are sporting. If only 272 whp is made at 21 psi (i made similar when I was on low boost at 8 psi) Its time for an upgrade.
Personally I would play with what you have, replace turbo, replace your tiny injectors. Don't bother with regular pump gas, and I would add an extra walbro. The extra timing you can add with a higher octane, is well worth it, With E85 I had success with almost 10 degrees advanced over stock with no pinging issues.

Please can you tell us more about E85? What is this magic fuel? Are you the first person to ever use it? How does it work?

Would it be faster if I put another Walbro inline and ran E85?

There's a perfectly good reason why that dude got the sealth/3kgt engine to work.
He's obviously an islander. Either Bahamas, or Puerto Rico..etc. You'll never attain the aptitude, and finesse they posses.

I mean no offense to anyone, but I really don't need to be told how to build a 4G63, this will be my 4th one I bought and am building. This one is the donor shell for a 2.4L 4G64 DOHC swap I am building. My next will receive a 6G72, regardless of what tools think.
This is my daily driver, if 270+ WHP is not enough to have a little fun on the street, when it's faster than 75% of the cars I encounter on the road, then who cares? Not me.
I came here, clarified what I have, posted my plans and that's that. It's not meant as offense, but I don't listen to anyone on the internet about building cars, because everyone wants to be an expert. If you don't like the car fine, you probably are the guy who would drool over my dad's Chevelle.
Also if you think 272 cams are too big for a DSM, then you need to stop posting there. It's a stage 2 cam, with moderate lift, and they are BC's so they are a more mild profile. If anything, I will soon be outflowing them.

First, the post wasn't meant for you. The post is aimed at people who feel the incessant need to tell me what to do with this car. I will answer questions as to why I am doing something, with-out issue. I am all for people discussing cars and car parts. I am not for telling people what they should do. If someone asks for help or is doing something potentially dangerous or will hurt their car, I will chime in with advice. Outside of that someone can do with their car, money and expertise as they please. However, I do not tolerate, in person or on the forums, people who make uneducated or biased comments, such-as MadFairlane here with his whoopty-do comment, which happens to be him implying I am bragging about my camshaft size, even though I am doing merely nothing more than stating a fact as to why I have them installed and why they are not too big.

Now to answer your question: I am doing it for the sake of saying I did it. It's a learning experience and I love customization work. I am a graduate of a 2 year degree program in automotive service and am currently attending classes for body and metal fabrication. I have sucessfully passed 5 of my ASE certification I have taken and am working towards becoming a master technician. I also worked for Mitsubishi for some time and graduated their manufacturer's training course. Cars are my love first, and my career second. I never want to do the same thing twice, I want to learn, and build head turning applications. Could I build an equally fast 4G63, yes, probably even faster, but as I am sitting at local car meets, I want to pop the hood and have something different, something awe inspiring as a way of saying, if it can be thought, it can be done and I can help you achieve your goals if you have me build your car.

Not a bad looking car and fairly simple set up, however I am curious what boost you were running to make 271whp on a 20g turbo? That's like 14b power...

Be be careful amber, he doesnt need to be told how to build his car after after all his 271 rwhp is 75 percent faster then other peoples cars, that is all that matters.
But to answer your question, probably a shit tune tbh. How else do you explain his missing 130 rwhp? Either that or a massive boost leak. Not to mention a severe lack of fuel upgrades to support big power.

Actually, I've seen quite a few RWD DSMs. They don't last very long, however.
