Just use Openoffice, it's served me plenty well at work and at home and at school and it's FREE.

^ Yup T-bird works great. Also consider Office 2007..should be able to find it cheaper.

Also keep inmind that the "Home and STudent" edition DOES NOT come with outlook.  You will need to buy Home and Business edition or just buy Outlook as a standalone. Standalone costs $140 from MS.

If the company you work for has a Volume License Key a lot of times MS will provide you with a copy of Office for a very low fee I'm talking $10.

Just in case the above doesn't work for you, Newegg has the option of buying Office 2010 Home & Business product key cards.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116860&cm_re=office_2010_home_and_business-_-32-116-860-_-Product

It doesn't come with any discs or manuals or anything, it's just the product key. You then download the software from www.office.com/productkeycard

The upshot is that it's $169.99 which is about $50 less than the cheapest retail box version.
