Baked BBQ chicken
« on: August 08, 2010, 12:54:51 AM »
By no means am I a great chef, but I tried this for the first time tonight and man it was good.

I used chicken thighs.

I seasoned them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Threw them in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes covered in foil.

After that, I put Jack Daniels Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ sauce on them and baked them un-covered for 30 minutes.

They were so tender the meat was falling off the bones, and they tasted damn good.. I had 5 thighs myself.

Thighs are THE overlooked part of the chicken.
Best eatin on the bird.

I'm up in the air on thighs. I like how tender the meat is, but I hate eating visual fat on meat. I find it disgusting. Hence the reason I like chicken breasts and sirloin steaks. Nice and lean and, if cooked correctly, very tasty.

I guess I should try thighs again. Boneless thighs are cheap at Sam's Club.

Due to my current condition... I have to eat cuts of meat like sirloin.
The degradation in tast from my favored cuts makes me consider giving up steak...

I have been doing this for years. It is also really good with the boneless ones (skin pulled off) tossed in the crock pot with some rice, black beans and corn.
Go take a sugar-frosted FUCK off the end of my dick.

I'll have to see if I can find some.. I'm always looking for new marinades/bbq sauces and what not to try on my meats.
