FnF was right!!!!!! So me and my buddy were tuning his gsx yesterday. He had just got a custom intake manifold made. We were on 29psi and full throttle, when he let off the gas we heard a pop(resembling a gunshot). He tapped the trottle and it sounded like it was a massive exhaust leak. the A/F gauge and boost gauge wasnt reading. We pulled over to find out that the intake manifold had blew up, literally. The whole bottom plate of it was blown completely off. the only thing holding it up was the break booster line. The intake manifold was made by spirit chassis off st.charles rock road. I dont advise anyone to take anything there. heres the pics.
   Somebody needs to learn to use a little more heat. |

Wow. That is incredible. There's no doubting it either. It was definately the welds. The intake looks real good though.

Do you know the source? Next to my buddies house this guy has a DSM thats running 29 pounds of boost with a welded custom intake manifold. We always joked that he could actually blow the welds on the intake |

Oh my goodness, I registered just so that I could comment on this photo. It's the greatest thing I've seen ever! I was lauging for a while, people kept coming by my cube to see what the problem was, and there was no way I could show them for fear of re-creating the LA riots in NH, due to mass hilarity. No one really laughs here ever, I think its outlawed.
