2005 Mustang Light & Electronic Problem
« on: March 30, 2011, 11:20:12 AM »
Moms car is a 2005 Mustang V6 Convertible.

1 brake light will stay on with the car completely off.  And just the other day dad said the whole instrument panel went dead. As well as the radio.  But, the car still ran.  I've seen stuff about the SJB - Smart Junction Box and water getting in the car.  I'm just not able to find very much on it.  No write-ups or anything. And i'm not very familiar with that car as well.

It sounds like that brake light has a short to power somewhere in the circuit (VERY uncommon).

As for the rest, trace the circuits from the power source to each circuit, see where power is, and where it isn't. You'll come across why the radio and instrument cluster took a dump pretty fast.

Could be a SJB issue, as most all power originates there for most of the vehicles circutry.
...and either quite drinking or quite posting because you're going into some sort of weird AMERICA 1776 FUCK YEAH mode.
