1976 Oldsmobile 4-4-2
« on: March 10, 2011, 11:48:04 AM »
Of course it's not particularly fast, but in it's day it was one of the quicker vehicles you could buy, thanks to all the smog era bullshit. I have always loved how these look. When I was a kid, I had a little Matchbox version of one of these, and even though I didn't know WHAT car it was, it was my favorite toy. So I guess it sorta makes sense that I was immediately drawn to the less sporty looking version that I ended up buying... it's still similar.

You could get the '76 442 with a 455, but in '77 you could only get the 403.

Set a NASCAR lap record and apparently was one of the fastest cars on the track at the time.

My Grand Ma GT could probably outrun this 442.

Slow or not, I like the look of these particular 442's. :yup:

Eh, I like them, with the exception of the headlights.

This particular one wouldn't be my pick of 442, but it was a quick car in it's day and it's obscure nowadays. I think it's pretty neat.

Very cool cars. If I had the cash and found a great deal on one I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
