Its very large... The HDMI output is sweet though, my laptop has it I'm thinking about using HDMI into my tv so I can stream netflix.

Nice specs.  I would want to upgrade the HDD to an SSD right out of the box if I spent that much on a laptop though.

Yeah, it is weird.  I'm going to upgrade it as well as install the second HD it has support for.  I may just use the original HD for the secondary.  Put things like pictures and other stuff that speed doesn't matter on.

I wanna know what you think of it after you put an SSD in it.  I have this 7 64-bit HP laptop.  It's nothing fancy at all, but I think an SSD would still be worth it.

Why so much? Are you going to be running a couple VMs at the same time?

I tend to overly multi task, including mutliple RDT

Smart   Saves you from spending twice the $$.  All I know is this thing boots up fast, and runs programs with no problems.

I've got 4GB of DDR3 and very very rarely feel the need for more.  Only a few specialized programs/tasks require massive amounts of RAM.

That's what I was thinking, too. I have the same as you and never seem to be running low. I don't do any sort of VM work or video editing though.

I'll max out all 4GB temporarily when processing 18mp images or crunching 1080p video, but I think my hard drive and dual core processor are holding me back more than anything.  For gaming or general computing though, there's no need for more than 4GB of DDR3 right now.

Unless I'm working, I'm generally fine.  Even while working, 16 gigs is overkill even then.  So the second, and more motivating reason, is because I can
