Allegro Marinade
« on: March 18, 2011, 07:48:40 PM »

Who else LOVES this stuff?  It is made in the town where I grew up (Paris, TN) and it is absolutely wonderful. It's a soy/citrus-based marinade, and I've used it on beef, chicken, venison, turkey, and even fish with great results. It's starting to get distributed nationally, but none of the local stores here in IA sell it yet.  For Christmas, my parents got me a gallon jug of it because they know how much I like it.  ;D

If you haven't tried Allegro and your local grocer carries it, definitely toss a bottle in your cart the next time you're there. Really flavorful, versatile stuff. I just used it on some burgers, with a little extra lime and brown sugar thrown in.

I used to use it all the time on steaks before I started making my own marinade, shit is really tasty, and not bad to have on hand for last minute emergency marinading or things like chicken that aren't really worth the effort to make marinade for
