Eh, I feel like he'll be back in the 2nd season, along with the dad and son from the first episode.

Am I the only one screaming at the tv every time they pass an M2 or even all the M-4s just laying on the ground?

Probably.  M2's are a maintenance bitch and weigh 75 lbs dry.  M-4's aren't anything special unless they have the M-3 trigger group...

Probably won't do much good without any ammo.

I thought it was a pretty good episode, though the TV budget really bared it's ugly teeth near the end during the heavy use of special effects.

Maintenance bitch? They have like, 5 moving parts. Dead simple and almost impossible to break.

They are NOT of much use to foot-mobile ground troops. Need a 6 man crew to man just one of the things.

I am annoyed that the sherriff didn't fire up the Abrams battle tank he got "stuck" in in episode 2.

I'm thinking there's a reason the tank was stranded there in the first place... not only that, are tanks really that easy for a non-trained person to operate?

Also, does the Abrahms have a seperate driver compartment? Some tanks do, and if you hope in the turret hatch...you're in the wrong place for trying to move the damn thing.

Yes the driver is in front of the abrams and I am pretty sure you can't access the driver's compartment from the turrent. You can talk and there is a small opening but not enough to actually fit through IIRC.

I am not into the season finale. I don't really like how he just found his wife so soon.

They obviously planned for a series failure with the 6 ep first season. Hopefully we will get a properly funded, 12-episode second season.

I agree. They were given a half-hearted green light from the AMC brass when they pitched the show.

With the show's apparent success, hopefully they will be given the time and funding to orchestrate a proper 12+ episode second season.

My guess is they're gonna take up Brad's advice (or whats his name, that other sheriff fella) and head to that Army base 100 miles away. How they'll do it with empty fuel tanks is anyone's guess, however.

Aww fuck yeah. Weeds and Breaking Bad just ended their seasons (one season left for each of those now) so I'm following Dexter, Walking Dead, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family, and Community. I'm also catching up on The Big Bang Theory so I'll end up following that as well. I also started How I Met Your Mother but I've only watched the first few episodes so far. That will be my next venture.
