Farmville....Serious Business....
« on: October 28, 2010, 02:56:03 PM »
This is just sad. Really really sad.

http://gizmodo.com/5675347/woman-kills-baby-for-interrupting-farmville-session

Quote
A 22 year-old woman from Jacksonsville, Florida has pleaded guilty to killing her baby son over a game of...Farmville.

Alexandra V. Tobias says her three-month old child, Dylan Lee Edmondson, had been crying while she was trying to play the popular Facebook casual game. This angered Tobias, who told authorities that she shook the baby, had a cigarette to calm herself down, then shook him again. It's believed he "may have hit his head during the shaking".

Dylan's death was classified as second-degree murder, a charge that carries the possibility of a life sentence in prison.

These a prime example of people who should have had abortions or put their child up for adoption....no child deserves that.

This, exactly why I am pro-abortion. If you have doubts and don't think you can take care of the kid don't have it.

Why is it that almost every time I read a story like this, I look at the offender and think "That's not surprising"?

Luckily she can't pull the old "I messed up! It was an accident!" shit because she did it TWICE, with time in-between. What a lowlife scumbag.

I propose a petition to let me shake her too, if she starts crying in the court room.

Why isn't the media going after the people who made this game? It is obvious to me that the game turned her into a an evil child murderer.

Good question. You would think they would be trying to slam the game all they could
/ because it was apparent that the game caused all of the issues / .

It would be funny if they tried though. It would just further prove that the media and other people trying to lay blame on video games for the actions of those who play them; are just trying to give people excuses for not taking responsibility of their own actions.

They would argue that compared to violent games, Farmville doesn't actually contain violence.  Which is retarded anyway.  It only further shows that even a violent game should in no way be an excuse or reason for doing something stupid.

Completely agree.  Society today takes any chance it gets it seems to make excuses to shift blame and responsibility for ones own actions. The mentality that it is always something elses fault for the person to do the things they do, rather than just laying blame where it belongs. On the idiot who did the action.
