My first car was a 1988 Chevy 1500 Scottsdale. My mom wanted me to have a big safe 4x4 for winter.

This is the only pic I have of it... It was a rusted out pile of metal.

My second car was a 1992 Ford Taurus. One of my mom's co-workers was selling this and I needed something to drive since my brother would be using the truck so we got it. It had a fairly torquey police issue 3.8 swapped in by the previous owner.. the torque broke the engine mounts and led to the demise of the radiator.

This picture is obviously after an accident. I swapped some silver junkyard body panels on later.

My third car was a 1998 Suzuki X-90. The Taurus's radiator was shot and that piled up onto ather problems that I didn;t wanna deal with. My mom spotted this sitting in a dealer lot and thought it looked like a neat car. Since it had 4wd it was suitable for winter use.

This pic is a week or so before the X-90 was traded for my Jeep. I owned it for 3 years and had a lot of fun with it, and learned a lot form working on it.

My fourth car was bought while I still had the X-90 during a troubled period of my life. I was engaged and didn;t realize how much of a bitch I was engaged to. She was pushing me hard to sell the X-90 and buy something more practical for a family, so I did. I put the X-90 for sale and my mom in her eternal wisdom decided to buy it to keep it in the family. The car I bought with part of the money was a 1994 Suzuki Swift GT.

I owned this car for a month and it broke down the day I bought it. I never got it running and sold it to a guy on teamswift.net. I bought the X-90 back the day I sold it and owed my mom an extra $800 from the adventure.

My fifth car was purely a impulse buy. A co-worker had a ratty old 1986 Honda Civic Si and I jokingly offered him my Nintendo DS and a old BlackBerry cellphone for it, and he accepted. Over the year I had it I stripped it out and painted crap all over it.

I still had the X-90 when I owned the Honda.. it was a toy car for me. I installed a 6" coffe can as an exhaust tip as well, but no pics. I had a lot of fun with this car as well.

My sixth car is my current 1989 Jeep Wrangler.. I have a membermobiles thread if you wanna see pics.

My motorcycle doesn't count as a car so that's it for me lol

My Cavalier had better rims.

Mine wasn't a Eurosport

That was actually a very comfortable car.  I kind of miss it.

Mine was silver and had the chrome rims of that same design

I miss that car a fair amount

That car I miss a LOT

1992 Swift sedan. Bought it for $500, blew the clutch and is now my parts car.

1994 Mitsubishi L400. Engine was using more oil than fuel, so I pulled it out. Rebuilding this one in my spare time.

1983 AE86 Sprinter. Sold the 4agze to a friend, and the car as a rolling shell.

1993 Holden Commodore. Paid $350 for it, was my daily for a few months. Sold it today for $750.

1994 Swift GTi. I bought this because I wanted to rebuild an engine by myself. Blew the head gasket thrashing it at the track.

And my current car, a 1984 Toyota Corona estate.

First car: 1975 AMC Pacer; paid $50 for it from a run down Seattle used car lot. Lasted two years. I drove it until a joined the Army

1993 Corolla by Gremlin72, on Flickr
First new car: 1993 Toyota Corolla. Thanks the Army, the SPD and my family. This car had 750,000 (on the body) when I traded it in a for Windstar mini-van (below) The engine was shot twice. Once in Kuwait City, Kuwait and once in downtown Seattle

2003 Ford Windstar. I had a Geek Squad computer business in Grants Pass/Medford, OR. It was work truck. I made so much money on the business I needed a tax write off and donated it to a disabled Veterans Group

2005 Ford Freestar, still on the Ford mini-van kick I upgraded (Yah, right) to a Freestar. Remember when Ford wanted every car to begin with the letter "F"? It was sold with the business

2004 Volvo V40, I needed a car after I sold the business. I got a Volvo. Boring!

Just before I moved backed to Seattle in 2007 I picked up a Acura TL Type S. I had this car less than two months. I drove it supermarket and it got stolen.

1973 Ford F-250 by Gremlin72, on Flickr
1973 Ford F-250, I got it from grandfather. Owned it for six years and put 2000 miles on it. Gave it to my neighbor who races in SCCA

Toyota Tacoma Lemon by Gremlin72, on Flickr
2007 Toyota Tacoma X Runner. I put more miles on this truck towing it with my 1975 Matador; than I did driving it under its own power. Sold backed to Toyota.

Seattle Snow 12-19-08 by Gremlin72, on Flickr
1997 Subaru Legacy "Outback" I call boomerang. It just keeps coming back to me. I just gave it to an employee, but it comes back like it did before I will drop a piano on it.

Technically my first car is my 2004 Mazda6 Wagon GT which I'm driving right now.  I drove a 1993 Escort LX for 3 years before that, but technically it belonged to my parents

'92 Saab 900S: Brother bought it to get out of the payment on his previous car, drove it for a couple months. Wouldn't start in the cold. Leaking compression. Other issues. He gave it to my parents as a deal for a car they were selling at the time, they gave it to me.

'95 Saab 900S: Traded the '92 + $500 + Busting my ass working on the house ALL summer for this. The car I miss the most, was unstoppable.

'99 Saab 9-3. Traded the '95 straight for this needing some work. Had all the intentions of fixing it and selling it for something with a 5spd. Didn't work out and I ended up hanging on to it for a while. Perpetually broken terrible thing. Sold for $1400 when I  finally got fed up with the growing list of parts that needed to be replaced...

Sold that and bought my '96 9000 Aero, which I still have, and recently my '96 900SE winter beater. There's a '95 900SE track project that's not included because it's not 100% mine, as well as a couple of parts cars.... I'm 18, yes I have a problem
Complicate and add torque steer.

First car 1987 GTI 8v, great car for a highschool kid handled well and was not fast enough for me to kill myself

1989 Mazada 626 I hated this car so much I crashed it

2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse V6, my first new car, sounded great, had some torque steer issues though

1999 Chevy Blazer ZR2: Suprisingly I really liked this car and it did pretty well off road and when I drove to the mountains to ski

2003 Mitsubishi EVO VIII: I loved this car, fast, it handled great, totally uncivilized...Ex made me trade it in :(

2004 BMW M3: This is what I traded the evo in for so I was only disappointed for a minute or two  ;D. This is a great car fast, civilized and sexy as hell.

2006 BMW M5: My current ride see membermobiles thread...Best car I have ever owned, period.

2005 Porsche Boxster: I bought this as a second car when I got back from Iraq, great all around, sounds like a porsche should

2006 Porsche 911: Traded the boxster in for this, my second car see membermobiles thread.

First vehicle was a 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale. Bought it for $500, and it was a rusted pile. It was a good car, fixed up the body and painted it. Brought it to Mississippi, but after not finding work for several months I needed the cash. Sold it for $950

Second was a 2002 Dodge Neon. It was a pile of shit too, at 72,000 miles it had the ill fated piston slap. Hell, I have to admit, I liked that pile of shit, despite being an automatic, it was fun to take on curves.

Alas, several months later, a fat fucking bitch talking on her phone hit me when I was turning into the drive at work. Totaled.

Currently, my 2004 Nissan Frontier. Solid truck, no complaints besides it being slower than a snail with a hard-on (and quoting Jeremy Clarkson "Zero to sixty in......no...")

2017 VW Golf GTI - 6spd
2015 Toyota Camry SE
2009 Toyota Tacoma TRD

'97 Lumina LTZ, I loved this car but it was a lemon. 220,000 miles on it when I sold it. Did the LIM gaskets at 216k miles, then the cam broke in the 3100 at 218k miles. Swapped in a 3400, had the transmission rebuilt due to a leaking valve body (yay GM transmissions!) at 216k miles. But it was a very clean car. I had every service record, window sticker and everything for it. Paid $300 for the car, sold for $1200. Lost money on this one when I sold it. Considering I had over $1200 into it, plus a ton of labor. I still see it around to this day, and have talked to the owners. Apparently the 3400 upper intake was cracked and the converter was plugged. Other than that, it runs like a champ now.

'98 Lumina LTZ. This was a peppy car with the 3800. I bought it for $250. Guy said it was a bad transmission. I drove it up on the trailer when I bought it. Got it home and saw that the fluid was GONE in the transmission. I filled it with a few quarts, it came up on the dipstick. Drove it around the block problem free. Got home, checked the fluid and found it was gone again. Got looking and saw that there was a hole the size of my fist in the transmission, with chunks of gears missing? I'm not sure how it drove. Rebuilt the transmission, then sold it in '08 for $3200, after putting 20k miles on it. It had 180k on it when I sold it. Absolutely no problems after I had the trans rebuilt.

'95 Lumina 3100. Got this car for $150, with a bad transmission. Swapped in a junkyard transmission, drove it for 4 years problem free. Got rearended twice with it that exceeded the value of the car. I got paid $1200 each time. First time the damage wasn't visible. Second time it caved the bumper in. Didn't care so I left it that way. Gave the car to my sister after I got the Durango, had no use for it anymore. She drove it for a year and then the junkyard transmission went again. Scrapped it for $250.

'95 Monte Carlo Z34.. Never drove this POS but once down the driveway. It was a rot box, but I only paid $50 for it. Transmission was supposedly bad, but I drove it with no problem. Parked it in the driveway for a few months then it quit running. Would crank but would never fire. I got sick of it and sold it for scrap for $250.

'77 Trans Am 400/4-speed.. Drove this car for a year after buying it. Paid $900, Cleaned it up, sold it for $3000. It had some frame rot in the rear, which is why I sold it instead of fixing it.

'88 Corsica 2.8L MPFI.. Really killed me to get rid of this car, but I wasn't driving it anymore and it was starting to rot pretty good underneath. Family owned since new.

'87 Silverado K20.. This thing was a fucking beast. It was ugly as shit, 350ci 4-bolt mains. 8 lug axles. It went anywhere, and I gave two shits less about it. Had 60k miles on it when this photo was taken. Used as a plow truck since new, I drove it for 2 years and it almost killed me once. Paid $600 for it to keep the driveway clean and plow some other driveways too. Had a Chevy 454 block in the bed chained down for weight.

'85 RamCharger 318/4-speed.. Only thing done to it was 33's. Absolutely LOVED this truck. Was rust free when I got it, few winters killed it though. This is why I say fuck white vehicles.

'83 Camaro Z28.. I miss this car too. It rattled and squeaked pretty bad though. Was a real clean car.

Plus about 6 Trans Am's that I parted out over the past 5-6 years.
