FINALLY I have a fun car again. 2017 Focus ST base. My first new car. Really enjoying this so far. Looking forward to the break-in period being over.

Nice! Good to see more hot hatch's on here.

Break-in period felt like an eternity on the GTI, but afterwards it was full-boosta.

Nice. I see a lot of these around here. Mostly black though.  I think I prefer the white! What are you shooting with these days? Photos look great!!  I'm thinking about selling the 7D. Maybe even everything and switching to Nikon or Mirrorless or something.

I wanted a black or yellow one. Wound up with the white one because I found one locally with the exact options I wanted (zero). I like it more than I thought I would.

I'm shooting with the same old 5d MK II I've had for six years now. It's ancient at this point, but I still love it for the most part. Same glass I've been using for a few years as well.

Could always wrap it later if you end up deciding to want a colour change... in saying that I have no idea what a decent wrap job would cost lol

Yeah, I think white really looks nice and with those wheels too.

I do miss my 5DII. Actually just shipped out the 7D and everything I had with it. Got a better offer than I thought so I went for it. Was kinda let down at the amount of noise I was seeing even at very low ISO.  Trying to figure out what to go with now.

Our backup camera is a 70D. We've been really happy with it. Not sure how it compares to the 7D.

I love it in white but I'm partial to white cars for whatever reason. The ST is a neat little car. I wish it was AWD like the RS but there's a reason for the large price difference.

Same here. Although not that many years ago I don't think would've picked white on ANY car. Now it just looks so good on cars.  Arctic White C7 anyone?

I put an aftermarket air filter on and got some delightful turbo noises out of it.

Nah, there's something about that turbo hiss. You can hear mine pretty good if you load it up in 2nd or 3rd and let off. Highly satisfying noise spooling and then the BOV noise...

Ok, I think that might be my inner ricer....

Passed 5k miles a couple weeks ago. No issues at all, no squeaks or rattles, and the engine feels a little more "free" than when it was brand new. Went on a 1500+ mile road trip with my wife, son, and hatch full of luggage and the car was great. Our Edge would've been more comfortable for such a long trip, but we were going to the mountains so I wanted a fun car.

Wound up driving this road just north of Gatlinburg:

Holy shit it was great, but brutal. About 10 miles from Cosby to the North Carolina border, and 160 curves. The curves were so tight and the grade so steep that I wasn't out of second gear for most of it. It was fun though, I was on the road before sunrise and didn't see a single other car the entire time.

Also got a nice beauty shot.

Going to hold off on mods for a little bit, but would like to eventually cut out the briefcase-sized resonator before the muffler, replace the rubber shifter bushings with aluminum, and Steeda jacking rails so I can swap the winter wheels on/off easier.

I see you're enjoying the car! And wow you rack up some miles! I haven't even passed 4K in my car...

Nice drive! I'm in North Georgia now! Ellijay. Only a 3 hour drive over the mountains for me to Gatlinburg.

35mi round trip commute daily, then a 1500mi road trip. Adds up pretty quick. I bought the car to enjoy it and drive it though. :) Don't see any reason to have a "daily" car when I have this one.

My wifes new car already has 12,500 Miles on it (20,000km) and its barely six months old.

Thank you Mazda for an unlimited km warranty hahah.

We figure you buy a car to use it, so why not lol
