My cheap ass didn't want to spring for the lighting package. The standard lights are great and the LED foglamps are even better.

...creeping much? Would you like the Vin, my address, SSN, etc?

But yes, I bought it from that exact dealership. OTD was $22,800. Far better than any dealership within the same distance.

No, on that information. I don't want to set up a fake ID account in your name so I can browse HOMO and AMC websites. All I did was google "Sheehy Volkswagen" and looked at their stock of GTIs. Yah sorry about that.

Yeah that's a little tough although I think it's to be expected. At least there's more available height than a trunk - that might come in handy.

I'm such a putz

Since the dealer already mounted the front tag holder that they mounted with small screws there was 5 little holes in the bumper. Tried to get a new bumper out of the dealer, but that was no bueno. So, I did what typical Euro tuners do...

Shitty picture since it was nose in in the garage.

Yea, I had just changed the oil around 1400 miles and needed to tidy up the engine bay. Keeping a close eye on it though as there was metal shavings in the oil filter. From what I understand it is normal for these cars. Glad I'm a fan of early oil changes.

Wrong on so many levels?

Let's get German engineering bureaucracy in the house:  :police:

B - stands for Berlin. So far, so good.
The lower stamp is the flag/coat of arms of Bavaria. Berlin is not a city in Bavaria.
The letter "" can not be used on plates.
And last but not least the green stamp indicates the month and year of your next inspection.
A 2017 model would be scheduled after three years and the color for 2020 is blue.

That's GDM y0  ;D

Hah, well I be. Never really intended to be "authentic" as your average person wouldn't know any better. Something cheap I picked up on Amazon.

Now if you want to send me a real one

I'd damn near fly out there and buy that shitbox with the way I've been kind of craving a "nicer" daily driver besides my truck

High volume dealer in the city (DC Metro area) that they can sell cars for a little of nothing and still come out ahead.

Finally got the windows tinted today. 18% all around and gloss black vinyl on the 1/4 windows on the front doors. Wondering how long before I get pulled over...

Can't wait to get the Camry done. It makes a helluva difference in A/C performance!

Did you do any tint on the front windshield? Or maybe a strip?

18% is pretty dark - looks good though.

There are too many little matrix dots on the top of the windshield to make it look halfway decent. Just the sides and rear make a big difference in glare.

I was going to go 5% but night time vision would be terrible. I have a prescription through my optometrist for dark tint. I'll still get pulled over, but no ticket.

Clean and picture whoring...

Better picture of the tint. I think I got it a little too dark...

Sadly it just sits in the garage, not even 4K miles on it yet. More of a weekend/good weather driver. Parking lot at work is a mess, so I just take the truck.
