There is another video from another angle floating around one several news sites' Facebook pages (the video is not on their actual web site) where you can hear a pistol being cocked shortly after the collision.

Ok.
1. Dude is standing in the middle of the road.
2. It's night time.
3. The car did stop, and turned into the parking lot across the street.
4. The car did flee, but you know, I'd probably flee too if 3 to 4 people started shooting at me.

Why did so many "peaceful BLM" protesters start shooting?

That is nothing new. Here is a example from the state of Missouri. Watch the blue Honda Pilot SUV.  :yup:

It seems like they are trying SO HARD to make something out of nothing. It's ridiculous.

FUN FACTS

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/11/28/5-devastating-facts-black-black-crime/

FACT 1. Over 1,400 more black Americans murdered other blacks in two years than were lynched from 1882 to 1968.

According to FBI data, 4,906 black people murdered other blacks in 2010 and 2011. That is 1,460 more black Americans killed by other blacks in two years than were lynched from 1882 to 1968, according to the Tuskegee Institute.

FACT 2. Black People (mostly men) commit a grossly disproportionate amount of crime.

In 2012, white males were 38 percent of the population and committed 4,582 murders. That same year, black males were just 6.6 percent of the population but committed a staggering 5,531 murders.

In other words: black people–at just a fifth of the size–committed almost 1,000 more murders than their white counterparts.

The figures above highlight a horrific truth that black racialists and white liberals routinely ignore: Lawbreaking black Americans, young black males particularly, put themselves in close proximity to (mostly white male) police officers at rates sometimes five to 10 times higher than whites. This is a recipe for disaster. Thusly….

FACT 3. Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks committed half of homicides in the United States for nearly 30 years.

DOJ statistics show that between 1980 and 2008, black people committed 52% of homicides.

In 2013, black criminals committed 38% of the murders. Whites accounted for just 31 percent.

There are five times fewer black people than white people in America and, yet, they consistently carry out a larger share of the crimes? Given this rate, it’s no wonder that there aren’t more assistances where cops kill black criminals.

FACT 4. Chicago’s death toll is almost equal to that of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, combined. This one I find very disturbing, because they don't protest it and because I was over there during both of those wars.

There have been almost as many deaths in one American city as there have been in the two major wars carried out by the U.S. military this century.

Chicago’s death toll from 2001–November, 26 2015 stands at 7,401. The combined total deaths during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2015: 4,815) and Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan (2001-2015: 3,506), total 8,321.

FACT 5. It would take cops 40 years to kill as many black men as have died at the hands of others black men in 2012 alone.

University of Toledo criminologist Dr. Richard R. Johnson examined the latest crime data from the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports and Centers for Disease Control and found that an average of 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012.

Professor Johnson’s research further concluded that 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police-involved killings annually during this same period.

Doesn't matter. People will continue to be up in arms until cops disregard all care for their own lives and put peoples' feelings above their own safety.

I keep seeing the remark about from some choice anti-police "friends" on Facebook about how police need to stop being afraid of black people and that they shouldn't be cops if they're so afraid of black people.

Give me a fuckin break. If you think it's so easy, YOU DO IT. Let's see how you fair in the same situations.

Exactly.  I can only imagine what it's like to pull someone over for a routine traffic stop. At night.  No one else around.  Not an any job to do for sure!

Working the streets is the funnest job in Law Enforcement. If do not enjoy your job, you will not do it. When people pulled guns on me; I got excited. No really I did. That is how I can point my gun and yell at them (like Gordon Ramsay) DROP THAT GUN! In the 12 years I worked the streets I average a gun being pulled on me once every six months. That is how I could talk people out of guns. Just like a salesperson talks you into the product they are selling. In the past six years I have worked the office, I have been kinda of "bored". In six years nobody has pointed a gun at me.

Kalgorn and Speedy2. Has anybody pointed a gun at you while on your job? no? You missing all the fun.

Do want to become Police Officers? I can promise you a riot!

I'm a Lateral Thinker I see everything in "Black and White" like a Police car. Take a test too see if your a Lateral thinker. If you are, go for a career in Law Enforcement. It will be best job you will ever have.

Before I became a cop in 1995, I had to take a number a test. One of them was a brain test, where they tested my way of thinking. I got into the Police Academy due my Lateral thinking.

Do know what I call myself? On race? A Honky. On my homosexuality? An Armed and Dangerous F@gg0t

I have always laughed at myself. When I make jokes I sound like a British Comedian.

When lived in Grants Pass, OR I was called for jury selection. I asked what was "proper" punishment for the person who murdered a customer of mine.

I just said "The Electric chair wired by British Leyland". Everyone laughed out loud except the defense attorney and the judge. They asked me why said that (the British Leyland joke) I said to attorney "You never owned a never owned a Jag? It's kind of car if turn the left turn signal; all four of them come on or the horn blows. Yah, a Jaguar is not a very good car." I rephrased it for them this "The Electric chair wired by a local Electrician who after they downed a fifth of Jack Daniels and half case of Budweiser Beer." Yah, I got myself off Jury Duty that day.  :eating-popcorn-03:

While not directed at me I can answer 'yes' to this question though I have never been in law enforcement. At the time I was living in Kansas City working for the electric company, essentially planning tree trimming for different crews and coordinating efforts with property owners. I walked more than 2000 miles of easement, from the inner city (predominantly black neighborhoods) to the burbs (predominantly white neighborhoods) over a few years decked out in boots, hard hat and bright safety vest.

Had a guy in an affluent suburban neighborhood point a large revolver at me as I approached his property. Can't say that was particularly 'fun' being armed with nothing more than a can of bear mace and a pencil. In general the folks in the burbs were arrogant pricks who would regularly shout obscenities and threats at me. On the other hand, folks in the inner city neighborhoods where the nicest people I have ever met, once I explained I wasn't there to disconnect their electricity or cable.

Uh, that was not very nice of him. Where you on his "property"? As a utility worker you every right to file charges against the gunman for assault with a deadly weapon in criminal court and in civil court you could have sue him for enough money to buy his and her Jeeps. :yup:

In my security job, its my duty to "escort" all utility workers to there job sites and stay with them until A: The job was completed or B: Any threats of violence is neutralized.

As a utility worker you can call for Police assistance if you have any doubts about your safety. Does the company or public utility service you work for have this your work manual? It's standard operating practice around for here (Seattle) for years. Never put your safety at risk, when out in public. Remember there are people whose duty is to protect people. They dress in uniforms with badges....

Excuse me.  :slap2:

The bottom line: Guns are meant to scare people in the wrong hands and are lethal weapons. The correct hands they used as persuasion tools or lethal weapons.

I think the affluent asshat was trying a scare tactic to keep his precious weed trees from being trimmed. I never did walk his easement to carefully plan the line clearance work due to the revolver. Instead, his property was put on 'the list' which meant the line clearance crews would get a police escort to do their job 'by the book' and any future work/inspections would also require an escort. This guy's easement looked like hell when done because the crew did the absolute minimum to achieve the required clearances while escorted. Sweet justice in my opinion.

Now I work at a bank far removed from utilities. Should be safer....right :)

You handled that very well  :yup: However if you work at a bank... You got what bad people want. Money! You should get a nice Glock and some body armor  :D

I have seen that before. Just not as a cop. When I had the computer biz in Grants Pass. I got a call from a big wheel in the town. When I arrived at his locked gate at his mini-ranch (eight acres) I called his number and greeted by one of his right hand man holding a 38 special pointed at me while sitting in my blue mini-van. I got out of the mini-van holding (pointed down) my trusty Kimber 45.

I told the idiot, to call his boss with my cell phone. He did and things where cleared up. The reason for my service call? The Big Wheel had loaded his business computer with kiddie porn. I saved the all of this business files and replaced the porn effected mother board.

I told him about Oregon's kiddie porn laws and billed him for my services. He paid by check and the check did not clear the bank.

I turned the mother board over the local police, along with the invoice for the services. This big wheel was a city council member in Grants Pass. He was kicked off the city council. The idiot who pulled the gun on me? I took a quick photo of him with gun pointed at me while was in the mini-van. I don't think that guy was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a Ford Freestar
