Seems to be common with a lot of stock setup. I have done the same where I effectively double the boost. It will feel like a rocket for awhile, then like everything else you start planning more mods. I have meth on my list for the next upgrade.

I knew a guy with one of these.  He only had like $500 in a tuner and said it was close to 400RWHP?  Insane how easy to mod these cars!  Pics I did of the car for him

$480 for the JB4 tuner.
On the N54 they can get to around 400-420HP at the flywheel, roughly 360-370RWHP.  Quite amazing what these cars can do with the twins.

That white....DAMN!

Few changes over the last month or so.

VRSpeed catless downpipes (left factory exhaust)
VRSF silicone turbo inlets
Walnut blast
VMR 710 matte black wheels
235/40 front and 265/35 rear Continential DWS06
Slotted rotors/Hawk pads

Sees 16-17PSI on most days, tune adjusts to temp/AIT/octane
Needs an intercooler.  AIT's go through the roof.
Extremely shitty short time and heat soaked got me 13.3 at 108.5MPH a few weeks ago.  It felt like a dog on the track honestly.
Will go 12's up here with more seat time.

Also....black wheels lol

Solid wheel choice - they look great.

WTF is "walnut blast"?

Direct injection can be a bitch sometimes. Luckily nowadays alot of manufactures do direct and port injection (like my GTI).

Can you feel a difference when you do the walnut blasting? Or was it throwing codes or anything before?  Impressive results too.

It is a picky bastard.  Doesn't like heat, stays home a lot.
I wish I would could say I knew what the walnut blast did for it, but I can't.  DP's and inlets went on the same weekend that that got done.
I've heard a solid .2-.3 in the quarter can be picked up.

It's hard for me to compare times right now.  DA's were very different from my stock run to 2 weeks ago.
13.97 at 101.50 bone stock, it was 55 degrees out
13.32 at 108.50 now, it was 85 degrees.  Car felt sluggish, needs intercooler pretty badly.  It'll go 12's up here by season's end.  Putting it all of a second off the T/A up here.

Yeah heat sucks on a close to stock car.  I remember the GTP I had.  I took it to a track in NW Florida.  Super hot and humid day.  Times dropped significantly as the afternoon went by.  I parked it and just watched the rest of the evening.  I thought the Airbox was going to melt.

I almost did that.
Took one last pass because I totally fucked the one I wanted to be the last.
Short times sucked, car felt slow, etc.
I'll get back down there once it cools back off.

It's fairly quick, but is certainly an asshole when it gets warm.

Got it down to 13.03 at 109.2
Still been hot out, waiting a few more weeks to get cooler temps, should be 12.7 at 111 give or take.  Not bad seeing as the T/A went 11.90 at 117 up here.

Low grill in the front is black now too, flows better.

I bet the lower grille being black is much nicer. It stands out too much with the nose grille being black.

That thing is hot! Super jelly...

How do you like dealing with the German cars compared to the Chevy's you've had? I know working on my VW's everything is ass backwards compared to normal cars. Not complicated, but sometimes getting to a simple bolt requires a 10 step process and a 12 pack.

Just a lot of extra shit around everything
Coils and plugs are a 30 minute deal now
Most sensors are fairly easy to access

Custom tune complete
434RWHP, 19psi
I'll be the first to say, correction factor was for N/A.  Probably makes 390-400RWHP at sea level.

Car went 12.77 at 111 up here finally.  Prior to pro-tune.  Should go sub 12.50 now at around 113-114.

Nice numbers, even if it's realistically at 400.
