Title: Homemade Hot Chocolate
Post by: Daemon on December 23, 2011, 11:21:19 PM
I always enjoy Hot Chocolate in the winter. This is the recipe I use to make up some scrumptious hot chocolate.

2 tsp cocoa
2 scant tsp sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 peppermint stick
Put the cocoa, sugar and boiling water into a saucepan. Boil 1 minute, add milk and heat. Do not boil. Add vanilla and peppermint stick.

Makes 2 cups.

Cocoa has but one meaning. A powder derived from crushing seeds of the cacao tree. Is there another form of cocoa that I don't know about?

I think he was wondering if you meant Cocoa mix (swiss miss, or what ever) or cocoa powder.

Ooooooh, my brain is all fuzzy from lack of nicotine lol.

Its a cocoa powder that I use. I generally stay away from most mixes.
